Overview
This half-day introductory training provides an overview of automotive functional safety using ISO 26262:2018. It is designed for managers, engineers, and other professionals who are unfamiliar with automotive functional safety and need to understand the standard’s key concepts, processes, organizational responsibilities, and product-development requirements.
The course introduces functional safety management, item definition, hazard analysis and risk assessment, safety requirements, hardware metrics, hardware and software development processes, validation, and assessment. It helps participants recognize the organizational infrastructure and engineering activities needed to work toward the objectives of ISO 26262.
The training is provided by SRES automotive functional safety experts with extensive experience supporting OEMs, suppliers, and semiconductor manufacturers in establishing and improving functional safety practices.
