At SRES, safety isn’t just a requirement—it’s the foundation of everything we do. Our safety and cybersecurity training programs are designed to help companies develop responsibly safe and secure products. True safety and security require intentionality, addressing ethics, bias, and trust to build scalable, future-proof solutions.
With decades of experience in safety-critical industries, our team has worked hands-on with the challenges of functional safety, autonomy safety, cybersecurity, and responsible AI. At the heart of our training programs is a passion for sharing this expertise—not just covering standards, but helping teams take practical next steps to integrate them into real-world development.
The content below reflects the expertise and perspective we bring to every training we deliver.
Hands-On Experience
SRES trainers have applied the standards we teach—ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ISO/PAS 8800, ISO/IEC 42001 and ISO/SAE 21434—across real-world projects in electric and hybrid vehicles, ADAS and autonomous systems, EMC, high-voltage safety, and automotive production environments.
Our team has worked directly with these standards in real-world engineering and development, solving the same challenges your teams face. SRES experts have developed, consulted and have been independent assessors at both the OEM and supplier levels.
Proven Industry Impact
SRES trainers have led safety programs, audits, and compliance efforts at top automotive, mobility, and technology companies. They have trained 4,000+ engineers in 100+ training sessions, helping teams develop safer autonomous vehicles, electrification systems, and other safety-critical technologies.
Training for Real-World Application
Our training is designed for engineers and technical teams, using real-world case studies, hands-on examples, and industry-relevant scenarios to ensure practical understanding and implementation. Our courses are regularly updated to reflect the latest industry standards, best practices, and real-world challenges.
Shaping the Standards We Teach
SRES experts are passionate about safety and deeply involved in shaping its future. At SRES, we are an active part of the ‘ISO/TC 22/SC 32’ (Electrical and electronic components and general system aspects) committee and involved in the international working groups on Functional Safety and Safety and Artificial Intelligence working on future standards such as ISO 26262 Edition 3 and ISO PAS 8800 Edition 2. This direct involvement helps influence practical best practices and ensures safer, more reliable technologies for the future.
TÜV Certificate-based Trainings
SRES is an authorized training partner of TÜV Rheinland and SGS-TÜV Saar, two of the largest certification bodies. For select trainings, participants have the option to take an exam to receive a TÜV certificate, providing globally recognized credentials.
What Our Attendees Say
“I would highly recommend ISO 26262 training from the SRES team. The instructors know the subject matter in tremendous breadth and depth including having practical industry experience. I took the class as a refresher having worked in the FUSA domain for several years. But still I learnt a lot because of the depth of the class and lively discussion with the instructor team. I would also highly recommend the follow up exam which will thoroughly test your fundamental understanding of various ISO 26262 concepts”
— Functional Safety Leader, VW group (US)
“I have read the ISO 26262 standard at least twice and I have attended multiple trainings, but this was the best presentation of the ISO 26262 standard I’ve ever had. I learned 30-40 new things I didn’t know before.”
— FuSa Engineering Manager, L4 Autonomous Driving
“The team at SRES is leading the charge by training and enabling safety professionals to think about safe development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence. The AISP course did a great job of introducing the landscape of standards in this space with a focus on the latest ISO PAS 8800. Instructors Jody Nelson and Gokul Krithivasan did a phenomenal job of demystifying the standard in an engaging way and hosting amazing discussions throughout the course. Their passion for teaching comes through and I’d highly recommend them for their various course offerings.”
— Staff Engineer (Functional Safety), Leading Semiconductor Technology Provider
“I attended one of Jody’s ISO 26262 training sessions, where he demonstrated a thorough understanding of safety-critical systems, a meticulous approach to standards, and a practical perspective that proved particularly valuable.”
— Maha Sabra, Product Manager, Autonomy Supplier
“Our company has utilized Jody’s expertise in functional safety for both organization competency development through formal training, and technical support for safety-critical product development. Jody’s professionalism and depth of expertise in embedded safety-critical systems and homologation have helped our company successfully deliver safety-critical products to international and domestic end customers.”
