Job Description

At SecuRESafe we partner with our customers to develop responsibly safe and secure products in the automotive and industrial domains. That is our purpose and our passion, it is not a banner on the wall. We specialize in functional safety, autonomy safety, cybersecurity, and responsible AI development. This is a unique opportunity to work for a small company, where you can make a difference and have a voice. You will be working directly with the co-founders and gain hands-on experience working on real production products. You can make a difference. We work with major automotive and technology-based companies, including vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and semiconductor manufacturers. Our scope of work includes all critical vehicle systems including, but not limited to, powertrain (xEV and traditional), braking, steering, ADAS and autonomous driving.

This position isn’t specific to just one skill type, as the ideal candidate should have strengths in one or more of the following skills: software programming, E/E hardware development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, functional safety, autonomy, automotive and AI. We are looking for self-motivated individuals that enjoy thinking outside the box, willing to wear multiple hats and share our passion and motivation for making responsibly safe and secure products. As co-founders, we enjoy being challenged with complex problems, and we are looking forward to working with others that have the same desire.

Typical Responsibilities

We are consultants. We expect our consultants to provide guidance on expert-level questions and problems, as well to support in developing the various work products and artifacts required in responsibly safe and secure product development. A lot of our work is standards driven, but we must also be willing to work responsibly outside of the boundaries of standards when there are no perfectly aligned standards to follow. Some typical responsibilities include:

  • Conducting safety and cyberseccurity analyses
  • Developing and reviewing safety and cyber requirements
  • Supporting the development of safe and secure architectures
  • Performing gap analyses and hazard/threat analyses and risk assessments
  • Conducting trainings in functional safety, autonomy safety, cybersecurity and responsible AI
  • Performing Confirmation Reviews and other verification activities
  • Leading discussions with customers and managing project deliverables
  • Improving the safety and security of our customer’s products
  • Sharing your knowledge and experiences with your SecuRESafe colleagues
Qualifications
  • BS/MS in CS/CE/EE, Automotive Engineering, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Data ScienceE
  • Experience in software programming (proficient in C, C++, Linux), software development and software development tools
  • Experience in E/E hardware development including simulation of circuits, creating schematics
  • Experience in automotive and systems engineering
  • Knowledge in international standards such as: ISO 26262, ISO 21434, ISO 24089, ISO 21448, ISO 8800, ISO/IEC 5469, ISO/IEC 42001, IEC 61508, IEC 62443
  • Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player, enjoys working in a collaborative environment
