Overview

The safety of vehicle functions is now a high priority in the established development processes within the automotive industry. However, the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in safety-critical applications is associated with many challenges. The approach established in classical systems for building a safety argumentation is not directly transferable with AI technologies.

This certification training first introduces participants to the basics of artificial intelligence and then shows how the already established automotive standards like ISO 26262, and ISO 21448 can be supplemented with the extended frameworks and standards specifically for responsible and safe artificial intelligence, including but not limited to, ISO PAS 8800, ISO TS 5083, ISO/IEC 42001, and ISO/IEC TR 5469.

Introduction to the topic of responsible and safe artificial intelligence in automotive applications through ISO/PAS 8800 and related industry-agnostic standards and best practices as an extension of existing ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21448 (Safety of the Intended Functionality – SOTIF) standards
