At SecuRESafe we partner with our customers to develop responsibly safe and secure products in the automotive and industrial domains. That is our purpose and our passion, it is not a banner on the wall. We specialize in functional safety, autonomy safety, cybersecurity, and responsible AI development. This is a unique opportunity to work for a small company, where you can make a difference and have a voice. You will be working directly with the co-founders and gain hands-on experience working on real production products. You can make a difference. We work with major automotive and technology-based companies, including vehicle manufacturers, suppliers and semiconductor manufacturers. Our scope of work includes all critical vehicle systems including, but not limited to, powertrain (xEV and traditional), braking, steering, ADAS, and autonomous driving.

This position isn’t specific to just one skill type, as the ideal candidate should have strengths in one or more of the following skills: software programming, E/E hardware development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, functional safety, autonomy, automotive and AI. We are looking for self-motivated individuals that enjoy thinking outside the box, willing to wear multiple hats and share our passion and motivation for making responsibly safe and secure products. As co-founders we enjoy being challenged with complex problems, and we are looking forward to working with others that have the same desire.

Typical Responsibilities

As co-founders, we have spent many semesters as student interns ourselves. We believe in providing our interns with real work, supported by the framework of experts from the SecuRESafe team. If we do a good job and you do a good job, you will have the opportunity to work full-time at SecuRESafe after graduation. Some typical responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the development of functional safety, autonomy safety, cybersecurity and responsible AI trainings
  • Researching various topics associated with cybersecurity, functional safety and AI
  • Developing new processes and methodologies to support SRES’s growth in functional safety, cybersecurity and AV/ADAS programs.
  • Creating work product templates, guidelines and simple software tools for technical standards
  • Improving the safety and security of customer products
  • Performing Confirmation Reviews and other verification activities
  • Leading discussions with customers and managing project deliverables
  • Improving the safety and security of customer products
  • Pushing the SecuRESafe team into new technical areas
  • Sharing your knowledge and education with your SecuRESafe colleagues
Qualifications
  • Pursuing a BS or MS in CS/CE/EE, Automotive Engineering, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science
  • Software programming and/or E/E circuit design and simulation experience
  • Exposure and interests in automotive and systems engineering
  • Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player, enjoys working in a collaborative environment
